What is Yoga?

Yoga means 'Union' of the body, mind and spirit. 

We find ourselves directing our energies to the outer world, perceiving through our senses, because we rely on our senses we tend to have partial and very often deceptive data. By learning to go deeper within, connecting with the sutler energies of awareness (remember that instinct feeling you have?It is there somewhere) we see that we are much more than just a shell form of bones, muscles, ligaments, senses and brain. 

Centuries ago the ancient techniques of yoga were not understood, but slowly over time through the research of scientists things are rapidly changing and we are uncovering more and more information. 

Yoga is seen to some to be just a physical exercise but the asanas themselves are just a mere speck of dust in the vastness of this profound science that is the unfolded of the human mind and spirits potential. The asanas just lead us towards what we are ultimately reaching for, this is the amazing connection with Atman - consciousness.
